Pool FAQ PagePool Service Modesto specializes in residential and commercial pool cleaning in the Central Valley. Read below to learn more about our pool cleaning services and how to properly care for your pool.
Which Chemicals Do You Use?We use the same chemicals you probably already know about. Keeping your pool clean doesn't require sophisticated chemicals but it does require potent chemicals and some science.
We use premium, professional grade chemicals including liquid chlorine which can't be purchased from your local pool store. Your trained pool cleaner makes sure they're added to your pool in the proper proportions to create a pristine swimming environment. By testing your pool in weekly intervals, we're able to ensure your pool remains algae free and ready to swim year round. Do you offer pool conditioning? We do offer pool conditioning. This is an additional charge from your regular pool maintenance. Pool conditioner helps to protect the chlorine in your pool and keep it there longer. UV light breaks down chlorine faster and conditioner helps the prevent this process from happening.
This is important because without conditioning your water, you'll end up adding chlorine all the time. And we're guessing you don't want unnecessary amounts of chlorine in your pool. |

Whats included in your pool service?
Our pool service includes weekly water testing to ensure balanced chemicals, a clean filter, proper pH, and clear water. We pride ourselves in providing the best pool cleaning service in Modesto and the surrounding areas. With that said, we hire the best staff, we're quick when we service your pool, always courteous and professional, and most importantly, we know what we're doing.
On the days we service your pool, we strongly advise there is nobody swimming in the pool for at least an hour after the pool is serviced. The reason being that we're adding chemicals and they need to circulate throughout your entire pool to become properly diluted and swimmable. If they're not fully mixed in your pool, you'll have spots with concentrated chlorine which you don't want to swim through. We also keep a record of when your pool was serviced which is kept in your timer box.
Our pool service runs for 49 weeks out of the year. The weeks we don't service your pool are Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years.

Your role in maintaining your swimming pool
Since we're not there every day, we can't do it all. I know, I wish we could too. That being said, we need your help in maintaining certain aspects of your pool. Below you find the detailed explanations.
Cleaning your water filter
Keeping your water filter and pressure working perfectly is very important if your goals to keep your pool sparkling year round. Ensure the you monitor your pool filter at least twice a year or when the pressure reaches 6-8 lbs above normal clean pressure. You'll also want to replace diatomaceous earth, cartridge filters and worn parts twice a year or as needed.
Removing pool covers & Providing access
As the pool owner, we need you to ensure your pool service tech can easily access your pool. If there are any locked gates, items in the way, etc. please remove them or provide a gate key/code so your tech can easily get to your pool.
We also need you to make sure that, if you have a cover over your pool, you remove it before your tech comes to service your pool. If the cover is not removed, the tech will pull it half way back to add the chemicals and service your pool. However, we're not responsible for damage or maintaining your pool cover.

Algae issues
If your pool has an exceptionally hard strain of algae or the algae has progressed to a point that its turned/turning black, it can be harder to remove. With that said, we ask that you bear with us as we're removing the algae from your pool. As the owner, you can help us by brushing the sides with a long pole steel brush to remove the algae from the walls a few times a week.
